Welcome in Spain

Before C3,the Spanish team prepares the activities for the mobility:presentations, games, worksheets, musical and dance performances, display of traditional costumes, traditional dishes made by parents. The events are included in the mobility schedule. The activities on the first and last day, notably for professors and pupils who are actively involved, will moderately influence the usual educational program. The teachers involved in the project will have to be supplanted by their school colleagues.The seminars will be performed in centers, in such a way not to disrupt class functioning. Participants will be divided proportionally for class participation events.

The mobility will be made up of:seminars and introductions given by Spanish pupils, meetings in which the teachers analyze the characteristics of the Spanish educational system,class attendance,cultural activities,trips to places of historical and geographical interest where host students will behave as guides,evaluation practices and leisure time.

The welcoming ceremony – musical and dance performances, presentation of traditional costumes.
Presentation of host the school – prepared by the pupils.
Presentation of the objectives and of the timetable of the mobility by the teachers.
Students receive their journals.
Ice-breaker activities for learners and the initial meeting for teachers.
Evaluation forms about the Spanish culture and system of education.

Attending classes.
Workshop 1 – elements of Spanish geography.
Evaluation 1 – mobile applications to evaluate the participants’ acquired knowledge.

Workshop 2 – elements of Spanish History.
Evaluation 2 – online tools.
Workshop 3 – Traditional music and dance–pupils and teachers listen and watch live performances. Spanish students teach participants traditional dances and sing together a famous song about animals.

Attending music classes.
Workshop 4: The hosts present a song from the Spanish traditional repertoire. Participants work in groups to identify the theme, characters and symbols. Then they are split in groups and create a poster for the song.
Cultural evening – parents attend the event to see what has been achieved during the week, traditional dishes are presented and tasted.

Final evaluation.
Presentation of students’ journals.
Discussion about the characteristics of the Spanish system.

Tangible results:

evaluation forms, workshop materials and presentations, participants’ collaborative products– posters,photos; students’ journals; certificates of participation; Europass documents.
